Yakusenai 訳せない
Yakusenai is a series of posters exploring the relationship between language, typography, and visual communication. Designed using Japanese characters, the posters are intentionally unreadable to viewers who do not understand the language. Rather than relying on text alone, each design embeds its social message within the composition, typography, and visual rhythm.
The project questions how meaning is communicated when language becomes inaccessible. By shifting the focus from reading to looking, the posters invite viewers to interpret the work through form, suggesting that visual design can communicate ideas beyond words.
